Among Us is a social deduction party game where a crew attempts to complete tasks while one or more hidden Impostors work against them. Crewmates must watch the behaviour of other players, report suspicious activity and use emergency meetings to discuss who may be responsible before voting someone out.
Impostors instead try to eliminate the crew while creating confusion and avoiding suspicion. Because most of the information comes from what players claim to have seen, conversations and accusations become just as important as movement around the map. Different roles and settings allow groups to adjust how predictable or chaotic each match becomes.
