Back 4 Blood is a cooperative first-person shooter where a team of Cleaners fights through a parasite-driven apocalypse filled with large hordes and specialised Ridden. Its card system changes character builds and mission conditions, giving repeated campaign runs different combinations of advantages, hazards and challenges while encouraging players to coordinate equipment and roles.
The campaign supports up to four players online, while Swarm PvP expands the maximum to eight participants. Full crossplay connects PC, PlayStation and Xbox players, so mixed-platform groups can remain in the same party. Solo offline campaign play is also available with three AI teammates, making the game usable both as a cooperative experience and as a single-player run.
