Chants of Sennaar
A puzzle adventure in which learning each culture's written language is the way forward.
No dictionary is handed over in this game, so you decode symbols by watching how people behave and where signs appear. A towering structure divides several peoples, each speaking in its own script, and progress depends on piecing together their meaning. The design draws on the legend of Babel, and the vertical maze keeps introducing unfamiliar characters to meet. Rundisc built this single-player title for PC, consoles and mobile, and it rewards patient players who enjoy deduction and observation more than reflexes.
