Deep Rock Galactic is a cooperative first-person shooter where teams of space dwarves explore dangerous procedurally generated caves. Missions combine objectives such as mining resources and repairing equipment with increasingly aggressive waves of alien creatures that force the crew to work together.
Four distinct classes provide different weapons and traversal tools, while fully destructible terrain allows players to create their own routes through each cave. Missions work well for shorter sessions, but higher difficulties require strong coordination and make every class important. Solo play is also supported when the rest of the crew is unavailable.
