Emily is Away
An interactive story told through an old instant messenger, tracing a friendship across high school.
Emily is Away recreates a time of Windows XP and AIM-style chat, where you create a screenname and talk with Emily, a fellow high school student. It is described as a chat-bot meets adventure game, with a branching narrative where your replies decide the outcome. You can even change your text colour to lime green. Kyle Seeley's short PC title is a solo experience for players who enjoy nostalgia and dialogue-driven stories.
