Evoland
A light-hearted RPG that travels through gaming history from monochrome pixels to full 3D.
Evoland tells the story of action adventure gaming by moving through about twenty years of its history. It starts in monochrome with just a few pixels and works its way up to full 3D graphics, shifting from active time battles to real-time boss fights. Humor and plenty of references to legendary titles run through the journey, drawing on popular JRPGs and action RPGs. It is a single-player game, well suited to players who enjoy nostalgia and playful nods to genre history.
