Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice
A dark-fantasy journey into the Norse underworld, told through Senua's experience of psychosis.
Senua, a Pict warrior, travels into the Norse underworld to reclaim her dead lover's soul from the goddess Hela, in a world drawn from Norse myth and Celtic culture. Sword fights, puzzles and psychological horror fill the journey, while voices in her head can help or deceive you; they also serve as audio cues, since there is no HUD and no tutorials. Ninja Theory, with a team of about twenty, shaped the depiction of psychosis alongside neuroscientists and people living with it. It is single-player.
