Helldivers puts you in the role of a soldier defending Super Earth in a satirical, dystopian setting. Missions are viewed from above, and success depends on calling in strikes and placing weapons in sync with your teammates. It can be played alone, but it is designed around cooperation with up to four players. Its wider community effort also ties individual sessions into a shared campaign, which suits squads who like teamwork over solo heroics.
