Hollow Knight
A 2D metroidvania of close combat and exploration in the insect kingdom of Hallownest.
Hollow Knight is a 2D metroidvania from Team Cherry, released in 2017. Players enter Hallownest, a once-prosperous insect kingdom that is now bleak, and travel through its districts, meeting friendly inhabitants and fighting hostile ones while uncovering the kingdom's history. Combat is close-range, and defeating bosses or reaching hard-to-find areas improves the player's abilities and movement. It is an indie platformer for a single player, available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo, and suits solo players who enjoy exploration and combat challenges.
