A wordless, monochrome puzzle-platformer about a boy slipping through a bleak, controlled world.
Guiding an unnamed boy through a bleak dystopia, you solve environmental puzzles, dodge sentries and beasts, and use a gadget that controls minds to move other bodies. A side-view 2.5D presentation and a muted, mostly black-and-white palette set the mood. It has neither speech nor an on-screen interface, so sounds and imagery guide you. Playdead released it in 2016 for PC, consoles and mobile. It is a solo indie game for people who enjoy atmospheric puzzles.
