League of Legends is a competitive 5v5 MOBA where two teams attempt to destroy the opposing Nexus. Players choose from a large roster of champions with different abilities and roles, then work together across lanes and the jungle while gaining gold, experience and increasingly powerful items during the match.
Success depends on mechanical skill, map awareness and team coordination as players decide when to fight, defend objectives or pressure another part of the map. Different champion classes support very different playstyles, from durable tanks and supportive characters to assassins, fighters, mages and ranged damage dealers.
